OVERVIEW

Working as Full-Time Sourcing Specialist (m/f/d), you will research and complete formal Requests for Quotes (RFQ's). Completing these RFQ's requires you to understand and interpret customer prints and work closely with sales, engineering, quality, suppliers/manufacturers and customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Researching and completing formal Requests for Quotes (RFQ's) from some of Fastenal Company's largest current and potential customers
  • Working closely with the following groups: Fastenal Sales Teams, Fastenal Product Development Teams, Manufacturers and Customers
  • Working on a team that is focused on MRO or OEM parts
  • Cross referencing parts based on customer's specifications
  • Identifying sources of supply for non-standard items as well as providing accurate alternate or substitute items when feasible
  • Collaborating with Fastenal Supplier Development team to help advance supplier onboards, roadmaps and continuous improvement of data content
  • Assisting the Fastenal Lean Solution team with the implementation of new business
  • Working with Fastenal Industry Sales Specialists and Fastenal Engineers to better understand customers' needs and solutions
  • Negotiating bid details for optimal costing or cost savings initiatives with suppliers and manufacturers

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

The following skills and qualifications are required for this position:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Czech or Polish
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite
  • Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency
  • Work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities
  • Highly motivated, self-directed and customer service oriented

PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

  • Possess product knowledge in MRO & OEM
  • Customer service experience
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
  • A degree in Supply Chain, Business Development or a related field
