OVERVIEW
Working as Full-Time Sourcing Specialist, you will research and complete formal Requests for Quotes (RFQ's). Completing these RFQ's requires you to understand and interpret customer prints and work closely with sales, engineering, quality, suppliers/manufacturers and customers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
- Researching and completing formal Requests for Quotes (RFQ's) from some of Fastenal Company's largest current and potential customers
- Working closely with the following groups: Fastenal Sales Teams, Fastenal Product Development Teams, Manufacturers and Customers
- Working on a team that is focused on MRO or OEM parts
- Cross referencing parts based on customer's specifications
- Identifying sources of supply for non-standard items as well as providing accurate alternate or substitute items when feasible
- Collaborating with Fastenal Supplier Development team to help advance supplier onboards, roadmaps and continuous improvement of data content
- Assisting the Fastenal Lean Solution team with the implementation of new business
- Working with Fastenal Industry Sales Specialists and Fastenal Engineers to better understand customers' needs and solutions
- Negotiating bid details for optimal costing or cost savings initiatives with suppliers and manufacturers
REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
The following skills and qualifications are required for this position:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Polish or Czech
- Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite
- Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency
- Work independently as well as in a team environment
- Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities
- Highly motivated, self-directed and customer service oriented

PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- Possess product knowledge in MRO & OEM
- Customer service experience
- Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
- A degree in Supply Chain, Business Development or a related field
