OVERVIEW:

Working as Full-Time ASSEMBLING SUPPORT in our FMI Service Center, you will assist the team with the preparation, configuration and setup of our FAST (Fastenal Automated Supply Technology) Solutions devices.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

Setting up FAST Solutions Equipment
Utilizing quality control checklists to ensure device(s) pass all tests prior to shipment
Preparing devices for shipment to the customer
Assisting with ordering, maintaining and picking inventory
Cleaning or repairing devices prior to assembling them

Communicating with the department manager and Fastenal branches
Maintaining a clean and safe work environment and Complying with safety regulations
Assisting with various other projects, as needed

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

The following skills and qualifications are required for this position:

18 years of age or older
Good written and oral communication skills
Comprehensive computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word)
Attention to detail and a sense of urgency
Exhibit good problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills

Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
Willingness and ability to work a flexible schedule (no shift work, but adapting to your personal schedule)

Ability to lift, slide, and lower packages that typically weigh up to 25kg
