OVERVIEW

Working as a Full-Time Manufacturing Operations Manager, you will oversee our manufacturing operations in Leeds, UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient production processes, maintaining high standards of quality, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Implement and maintain effective production schedules and workflows
  • Manage and oversee daily manufacturing operations to ensure productive target are met
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Monitor and improve manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, and Engineering, to ensure seamless operations
  • Analyze production data and generate reports to inform decision-making
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production performance
  • Lead and develop a team of production staff, providing training and support as needed

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

The following skills and qualifications are required for this position:

  • Possess a degree in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or related field of study OR have 5 years of relevant work experience
  • Possess experience in manufacturing or manufacturing supply chain management
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite and manufacturing software and tools
  • Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency
  • Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities
  • Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision-making skills
  • Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Willingness to travel
  • Proficiency in using manufacturing software and tools

PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of supply chain management programs across a multi-site enterprise
  • Knowledge and or experience in lean processes
  • Experience in total cost programs designed to create site specific value
