DACH HR Specialist position (m/f/d)

OVERVIEW:

Working as Full-Time HR Specialist (m/f/d), you will be collaborating with Fastenal management, the Corporate Human Resources department regarding all facets of Human Resource functions. A high level of independence and self-motivation will be necessary for this position.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Serving as a point of contact for employee inquiries, managing resolution of HR inquiries and supporting managers with employee relations issues, and providing guidance and recommendations for problem resolution
  • Supporting the business by providing advice and guidance on HR policies and procedures in line with current employment law
  • Supporting individual country leadership with Works Councils
  • Supporting annual performance management, merit and bonus processes and managing and administering registrations required for employees
  • Communicating with line managers about the recruiting status and providing complete and transparent analysis
  • Communicating job offers and preparing employment contracts and amendments
  • Working closely with HR colleagues to establish/maintain talent pool that provides internal source
  • Providing training support by developing and organizing internal and external training which is not through FSB
  • Supporting employee's relationship management which includes recruiting, on-boarding and exit procedure, labor regulation/policy advice, expatriates work/living permit, local employee's residency
  • Maintaining payroll calculation and employees' social fund collection and management
  • Collaborating across all functions, championing a dynamic work environment
  • Performing other duties as assigned

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

The following skills and qualifications are required for this position:

  • Possess a bachelor’s degree Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field of study
  • Written and verbal proficiency in English, German, a third language is a nice to have
  • Possess 3 years of HR related work experience
  • Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning, decision making and critical thinking skills
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
  • Demonstrate strong organization, planning, prioritizing abilities and attention to detail
  • Work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Previous project management experience across multiple projects
